Coal mining

Gold mining

There are two interesting gold mining complexes. The bigger one is located in Zloty Stok and includes a thematic fun complex for tourists with for example the underground boat cruise in arsenic waters, the underground mining train and the underground waterfall. Uranium mining

The other Uranium complex can be found in Kowary. Kowary Drift is an underground world of legends, secrets and true history, associated for nearly 700 years with the search for minerals and the extraction of precious stones, iron, silver and uranium. Chalk mining

Chalk mining route in Chelm is 2 km long and goes under the city centre. The Chelm Chalk Tunnels is a world-unique labyrinth of underground corridors carved in the Cretaceous, stretching several dozen kilometres on five levels under the Chelm old town.
